Dinner at The Marriott Marquis with Nett Lake Wild Rice and Wines from Oregon

During this one of kind gourmet adventure rich in creativity, Executive Chef Armando Monterroso at The Marriott Marquis will redefine Native American cuisine with his classical European culinary techniques pairing with wines from the celebrated Oregon vineyards, Ponzi and Willakenzie, both internationally acclaimed for producing some of the world's finest Pinot Noir.

Wild rice from the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa from Nett Lake, Minnesota will be incorporated into the Chef's four course dinner. Nett Lake with its fine wild rice beds and awesome Spirit Island is the seat of tribal government. Two representatives of the Tribe will join us to speak about the rice, its place in Chippewa culture and the current and historical links of the Chippewa people to the land of 100o lakes and food in Chippewa culture.
