Colombo Rhone Wine Tasting

Jean-Luc Colombo is known as the king of Cornas after 43 years creating his single vineyard Cornas wines and a host of excellent Rhone appellations.  His leadership in Cornas led the French wine press to pronounce “the best terroir to grow Syrah is Cornas in the Rhone valley” a challenge to Cote-Rotie and Hermitage.  Come and enjoy a long list of wines from this legendary wine maker starting with brilliant whites including Condrieu Amour de dieu and including a host of wines from the syrah varietal including- Terre Brulee- a muscular Cornas to Les Ruchet the single vineyard Cornas that has received more accolades than most wineries receive for their entire portfolio. Included will be his Cote Rotie la divine for you to compare the differences in terroir in the Northern Rhone. 

This seminar will be led by Ian Ribowsky a veteran of the wine business with over 40 years indulged in fine wines. Currently Ian is General Manager for the brand Jean Luc Colombo and he and Jean Luc consider themselves ½ brothers after being associated with each other for over 25 years.
