Due to the overwhelming success of our three prior Gold and Silver Cellar Bin-End dinners, we are excited to present our Silver Bin-End dinner of the 2024-2025 season.

What is a Bin-End Dinner?

The Society typically buys wine by the case on release, but sometimes, we don’t use the entire case.

As a result, we accumulate a bottle or two of stellar wines that aren’t suitable for large events.

We could:

  • Auction these bottles to strangers and use the proceeds to buy new cases for our cellar.
  • Host small gatherings where our members can enjoy these rare gems, using the proceeds to replenish our cellar with wines in suitable quantities.

We chose the latter, and the results have been fantastic.

Priority Registration

To allow as many members as possible to access these special events, registrations will be prioritized as follows:

  1. Members who have not yet attended a bin-end dinner
  2. Members who have attended one or more prior bin-end dinners
  3. All other members
  4. Guests

This event is strictly limited to 12 attendees.

Guest seating will only be available if members in categories 1 through 3 don’t fill all seats within seven days of this invitation.

If you’d like to bring a guest, please let Rose know so they can be added to the waitlist.

If you’ve already attended a bin-end dinner and want to attend this one, sign up right away to have priority on the waitlist.

The Wines

The cost of this event is based on a fraction of the current value of the wines being enjoyed, including:

  • Krug Champagne
  • Mouton Rothschild’s elusive Blanc Bordeaux
  • 1977 Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1961 Château Léoville Las Cases
  • A magnum of 1999 Château Lafite Rothschild
  • A 3-liter bottle of Château Roc des Cambes
  • And more rare and delightful selections!

A full list of wines is provided below.

Additionally, you will be responsible for your portion of the food tab at Harry’s, which is estimated to be $250 per person, including:

  • Minimal corkage fees
  • Tax
  • A generous tip

Harry’s terrific semi-private dining room, The Conservatory, will be reserved exclusively for us.

The room comfortably seats twelve – the exact number of attendees for the 20+ bottles of wine to be poured!
